It seems John the Baptist was like Jesus’ #1 disciple and also highly respected. As it happened his head was cut off as a favor to one of King Herod’s dancers. What if she had asked for Jesus’ head instead or what if she had asked for some boring gift like a gold necklace? How would this have changed Christianity?

probably not much at all. three days after jesus was beheaded his head would probably just reattach itself…there we got easter!

  2. God's servant says:

it wouldn’t have changed it at all if john the baptist had lived. he would have followed jesus also.

God would have stopped herod from cutting off jesus head.

John the Baptist was born to tell people that Jesus was coming. He was Jesus cousin who was born of older parents for that purpose. The girl would not have asked for anything else for it was to have been that way to satisfy prophesy.
Keep in mind that she could have asked for land or power etc. not just a boring gold necklace.

Christianity would not have been changed for it happened just the way that God wanted it to be.
