John the Baptist John the Baptist is a story of courage and conviction seen through the life of one of God’s greatest prophets who gave everything to prepare the way for the Lord. It begins with the blessing John’s birth was to his aged parents. John grows in strength and integrity as he stands against political and spiritual adversity to preach the coming of the Lord. Finally, John beholds and baptizes Jesus, the Lamb of God. A terrific way to teach a child this story of God’s faithfulness …
Water is always a symbol in the Bible like with Moses baptized the children of Isreal into his leadership. spiritually the shedding of dirt does not save us but the death and ressurection of Christ and the “repentance unto life” John is fulfilling righteousness by anointing Jesus as Messiah like Samuel did to tinny David many years before.
Jesus was our example and baptized for all to follow or to fulfill all righteouness by John.Mat3:12-17&Mark1:9.Justin Martry rightly said it “free us from sin and enlightens “. Hermas said “your life shall be saved by water”.Finally Paul said in Rom6:1-11 and Gal3:27 that thru it we are buried and risen with Christ and by one spirit we are baptized into one body of believers.
The way this is animated and written is so precious and just…easy to handle. Perfect for children, but now I sort of want to but the DVD series.
John is so cute at 1:30
I have never seen this before I only seen the one with he is risen and this is a powerful message please live on with glory in jesus name.
I think it was always a really dirty river, cause Namaan was told to bathe in that river and he was like “You want me to bathe in that dirty river?”
Its cool that as much as Jesus humbles Himself as well as John humbles himself and exalts Jesus, Jesus allowed John to baptize Him. Its cool.
Jesus is awesome, i can’t wait tell, the second coming
I think this is the ultimate and beautiful story of humility… although I don’t really want to call it a story because the word “story” entails that it is Fiction, which it’s not
Praise be unto our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the Blessed Son of God!
the jordan river today is not as clean as it used to. it almost looks like a swamp.
i remember watching this in 5th grade!
