- haha, I can’t remember where this was from… but I remember a young girl getting a tour in hell… at first she was in intense pain… but then she asked, “Will I die here?” and was told that she was already dead, and could not die again…

But perhaps most vulgar of all is their belief in an endless torture by a ‘loving god.’ Infinite punishments for finite trangressions. And for the record, I don’t make my faith up as I go along. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, body, and strength, and your neighbor as yourself-on this hangs ALL the law and the prophets.” That is the religion of Christ, and it is mine as well. And if that is not good enough for you, well, too bad. It is my faith and I love it.
Evangelical fundamentalists kill by their words. They shrivel the soul. They indoctrinate, the formulate, they demand rigid, dogmatic, blind adherence. If that is not enough they believe the earth is 5,000 years old. They hate science and philosophy. They especially despise progress. Every step we have made forward as humans has been made in spite of them, not because of them. They are taught to hate the world, their bodies, and people who don’t adhere to their dictates.
So for you faith is just something you make up as you go along? And how exactly do you know that Christ was crucified?
You’re blaming the wrong guy for Christ’s crucifixion. The Jews killed Christ, not Evangelicals.
Of course I find it in a dog’s love. I, however, do not find it in ’scripture-spouters’ who play gotcha. I’m speaking of my own faith, not one that was indoctrinated into me by those with the agenda of keeping people controlled and fearful. After all, it was those people that Jesus Christ himself had the most trouble with and who, by the way, ultimately crucified him, and would do so again today because of their narrow-minded intolerance.
