Glorious Impossible: Christmas Animation

This animation was made to play behind the Prestonwood Baptist Church Choir during their 2006 Christmas concert “Gloria!”. The drawings were done by hand, scanned in, and then manipulated with Photoshop. The animated reveal was mostly done with After Effects, but the first two scenes were animated frame by frame. They took over 700 individual pictures to animate. After those two, I was inspired to learn After Effects. If you have any questions about this video, please feel free to contact me. 2010 Christmas Pageant – Lake Fork Baptist Church, Alba, TX

This video is the “2010 Christmas Pageant of the Lake Fork Baptist Church of Alba, TX.” It is entitled “The Fumbly Bumbly Angels” and was put on by the children of the church. The pageant is based on a story about a group of angels who are trying to get into the heavenly choir, but they keep fumbling and bumbling every assignment. Finally they succeed at a very special assignment — attending the birth of Jesus. This video is a slideshow of the pageant set to background music. If you are interested, arrangements can be made for a DVD of the video. The stills in the video were taken with a Nikon D40 using a Nikkor 55-200mm VR lens in P mode set at ISO 1600 with no flash.
