7th Annual Reenactment of the Lynchings at the Moore’s Ford Bridge, Monroe, GA Reenactment Timeline: 3:00 pm Leave 1st African Baptist Church for Visitation of the Malcom and Dorsey Gravesites 4:45 pm Arrive at the Farm House of Barney Hester, 2932 Hester Town Road (This is where the altercation occurred leading to the arrest of Roger Malcom, Sunday, July 14, 1946.) 5 pm Leave Barney Hester’s House 5:15 pm Arrive at the Old County Jail, 203 Milledge Avenue, Downtown Monroe (Place where Roger Malcom was held for 11 days.) 5:30 pm Leave the Jail en route to the Moore’s Ford Bridge (This is the exact time that Loy Harrison (white farmer) took the Malcoms and the Dorseys from the jail and delivered them to the KKK lynch mob waiting at the Moore’s Ford Bridge.) 6 pm Arrive at the Moore’s Ford Bridge for the Reenactment Ceremony and Call for Justice: Arrest and Prosecution Now!! 7 pm Benediction: At the Historic Memorial Marker Dedicated to the Legacy of: Roger and Dorothy Malcom (and Justice, unborn infant), George and Mae Murray Dorsey. On Monday July 11, 2011, another soilder has gone on home to be with the Lord. The Reverend Bishop Faircloth C. Barnes born June 22, 1929 in his hometown Rocky Mount, North Carolina to Mr. & Mrs. Sam Barnes. Bishop Barnes spent most of his time playing piano, singing and directing the choir at the Marks Chapel Baptist Church. After answering his call to the ministry in 1955, Bishop Barnes went on to found the Red Budd Holy Church in 1959 and later, lead the flock at the St. Paul Holy Church in Maple Hill, NC the latter of which he still serves as pastor.
