What is the difference between a Joel Osteen’s church and the Baptist church?
They are separate, so there must be differences.

The Baptist churches use vacuum cleaners on the floor.
(wicked laughter echoed in the hallways!)
ahh, no sense of humor.
Get Real! What about the Pentecostal Catholics that have been in the news?
About the same, just that the Baptist are louder.
Baptists emphasize Baptism, while Pentecostals emphasize “tongues,”
AKA speaking in gibberish, & claiming that its from the Holy Spirit.
A pentecostal church is a little more traditional than a Baptist church.
Not much different because they are still both Protestant.
Proud to be Roman Catholic!
Matthew 16:18-19

Go Research the Early Church Fathers.
Pentecostals speak in tongues more than Baptists.
There may be more fervor and zeal and speaking in tongues and emphasis on healing in white Pentecostal churches, as opposed to white Baptist churches.
But in many black Baptist churches, there is little difference, since many black Baptist churches seem to incorporate various aspects of Pentecostalism.
pentecostals: wear long sleeves and long dresses(women) dont cut hair(women) dont wear make-up/ jewelry, speak in tongues, dont watch tv or listen to wordly music, take the bible as a literal meaning, be baptized in Jesus name and not father, son, holyghost, believe in acts 2:38
baptists:well pretty much the exact opposite of what is up above
Well, Joel Osteen isn’t really pentecostal … if you’ve ever seen a pentecostal worship service you’d agree lol.
Joel is more “non-denominational”, in that he doesn’t specifically apply to one or another religion.
The Baptists believe in individual interpretation of Scripture, we believe in the independence of each church.
As a practical matter, we do not conduct our services as our more exuberant pentecostal friends do. You might get the occasional amen from the audience, and a hand raised now and then in agreement with a stressed point in the service, but that’s about it.
Pentecostals have been known to race around the building and jump up and down in excited glory. They fall on the ground in a faint if touched on the forehead and are more like going to a Benny Hinn service.
Compare Benny Hinn’s worship service to Ed Young Sr.’s and you’ll get a good idea of the differences.
They are both non-Catholic and in the same category that broke the unity of the Catholic church in the 16th century.
Remember, only two forms of Christian churches exist:
1. Catholic
2. Protestant.
Catholic churches cover the scope of Roman and Orthodox since both can share the same communion.
However, some of the Orthodox churches have even broken away from their latter roots which is difficult to determine since they still use the term Orthodox.
first olsteen is NOT pentecostal.i don’t know if he is really christian. he is more of a motivational speaker. back to the question.both believe that christ is the only answer.there views on christ are the same. but pents are more into the holy ghost, howlering, dancing, speaking in tongues etc… just remember this as long as any church lifts the lord jesus christ thats found in the bible it’s christian.( not mormons or jehovah witnesses) these are some mis informed people following a teacher or organization not jesus christ himself.
pentecost think that you can lose your salvation if you sin (then why get saved in the first place)…baptist teach..once saved always saved. Pentecost teach that if you don’t speak in tongues you are not filled with the spirit and you won’t go to Heaven. baptist teach if you are saved, you are going to Heaven. period. no further requirements needed
Pentecostals music is fast with life and excitement Baptist are slow, drawn out, half dead music
Pentecostals lay on of hands to heal, baptists don’t.
