If you can stomach it, attend his (re)baptism.

But personally, I wouldn't recommend it. Loving him and being emotionally supportive of his choices is one thing; actually acknowledging/honoring his renunciation of his true baptism is quite another matter.

Edit: I tried to think of something you could put on a card, but I couldn't think of anything you could say in good conscience that would be relevant in the way you're looking for. Congratulating him for his baptism is out for the reason I gave above. Congratulating him for his new life in Jesus is out, because it legitimizes his rejection of the Eucharist.

Seriously, I think attending his (re)baptism may be the only thing that you might be able to do without seriously compromising your own faith, and even that is iffy.

How about, "Happy Heretic's Day?" or "Congratulations on your new apostacy!"

Or better still, just send him a sympathy card. My sister is a former Catholic turned Baptist, and all that it's done is to change her from a kind, loving person into a bigot and hate-monger like the others in her church.

Yep, definitely go with the "Condolences on the loss of your personality."

Wow, I bet your dad is paying for that one!

Anyway the best thing that you could do is to go to his church and get saved. That would be the thing he wants the most. The sooner the better too, I mean, for you, that is because the longer you wait the more trapped you'll become by the Catholic church to where you can hardly break free.

Not that they'll literally, visibly chain you but through pressure and family and economics they will. It's actually worse than real chains.

Do you think maybe your dad is one of those Catholics that is secretly saved? And can't tell anyone because of the ostricization that he'll face?

So he converted from Christianity to Christianity?

What exactly did he accomplish again?

Yay for being supportive!
That's great. ;-)

I don't know exactly what I would write.. Perhaps something along the lines of:
"Congrats for finding your own way in life, for making your own decisions and for sticking with what you believe to be right. Know that I will always support you anyway, and I love you so, so much!!"

..Something like that.

Why would you congratulate your brother for turning his back on the true presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?

It is a sad day that a soul leaves the fullness of the truth, my advice I would get him a sympathy Mass card. I know I sound mean but I don't understand how you could feel good about him leaving the faith.

I will keep your brother in my prayers.

Pray the Rosary, and receive the Sacraments for the Glory of God in the Highest.

edit---Well Ain't~That~Rich, I guess the truth must be a nutty concept then LOL!
